Description

This was 3 nights of fun but frustrating imaging.  Seeing was extremely poor at times resulting in bad tracking and lots of deleted exposures, but I learned a lot about using some reframing functions on the ASIAir pro. Plus we had intermittent cloud cover that ruined several frames.  I should of had over 20 hours of data, but ended up with just under 11 hours.  This was the first time I experienced really bad seeing while imaging and I had no idea it could screw up your tracking and stars so badly.  Luckily, all three nights, the seeing gradually got better during the night and so did tracking.  This was stacked using APP's mosaic function and then the HSO images were combined using APP's RGB combine (SHO palette).

This is actually 3 different emission nebulas in an area of lots of nebulosity and other named objects, including several planetary nebula.    The 2 main nebulas NGC 7822 & CB 214 (aka SH2-171)are about 3,000 light years away which includes star forming area similar to that of the Pillars of Creation.
