Description

This is my first try at this unique and beautiful nebula. I hope to get more data the next two nights to put together a mosaic of the entire nebula.  Wasn't sure I was getting much data as even with 10 minute subs, this is a pretty faint nebula.

This is a supernova remnant bordering the Auriga and Taurus constellations. This discovery of this nebula is fairly recent and was in 1952 by the Crimean Astrophysical Observatory.  It is a large nebula (200 x 180 arcmin) and is estimated to be 3.000 light year away and around 40,000 year old.

Title: Mosaic Spaghetti Nebula

Description: This is 3 panels, 2 from last night and one from the previous night and I still didn't get all of the nebula. I tried to adjust my scope manually and since the data is so faint, I didn't adjust my scope enough. Also, doing a mosaic with a mono camera is a challenge and caused different background colors and bands where the panel overlap. I ended up editing and cropping each panel separately and then I stacked them in APP using selecting Mosaic in the Registration panel. I sure it is either in my processing or capture. If anyone has any thoughts or tips, please let me know.

Title: Spaghetti Nebula revised Mosaic

Description: Followed Lee's advise and restacked the 3 panels in APP using higher MBB and I enabled LNC. This definitely improved the banding issue. Thanks Lee
