This is a follow up of my Ha-only version. I added a few more Ha subs and finally collected enough OIII data to do this bicolor rendition. I did a drizzle integration, then cropped the image to better frame the tadpoles, combined Ha and OIII using the pixelmath expressions below and used the Ha channel as a luminance layer. Finally i added starcolors from a HOO combination, created with the same dataset.

R: Ha

After putting this aside for a few days, i felt that this image needs a bit more punch.

I bumped up the colors, tried to bring out more details and applied a tiny bit of noise reduction.

The image is still very noisy but I really fell in love with this target. I eventually will double the amount of integration time in hope for a much cleaner look.

Revision D:

Inspired by the YouTube video How Binning can improve your astrophotography from Astrobin member John Willis i started all over again and used PixInsight's IntegerResample process to do a 2x2 pixel binning on my Ha and OIII masters before proceeding with any other postprocessing tasks. Binning of course resulted in a much lower resolution but helped a lot with reducing noise. It worked out really well. Nevertheless i'm waiting for clear skies to capture more data for this target, because i want that higher resolution anyway.

Views by Submitters (available since September 19th, 2023) Every image is assigned to 50% of available Submitters. In the event that at least 80% of them don't view the image before its time in the IOTD/TP process expires, it's assigned to the other 50% of Submitters and the process begins anew.
Promotions by Submitters When 3 distinct Submitters promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for Top Pick status. This requirement, in addition to anonymization of images and distribution to only a subset of them, prevents biases and ensures that the best images are selected.
Promotions by Reviewers When 3 distinct Reviewers promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for IOTD status.
Early dismissal Staff members have a lot of images to inspect on a daily basis, and they can dismiss images if they believe they don't meet the requirements for IOTD/TP selection. If an image is dismissed 5 times, it's removed from the process. This streamlines the process and ensures that any bias present in promotions could be overruled by other staff members.
