Description

Well..., the best Saturn so far in 2021 what can only be the worst weather/seeing season I've seen in a long time. Someone up there doesn't like me. I've captured 12 nights of Saturn data since early June and 10 or those nights were poor.

Jury is still out whether the 250mm RC used here is well-suited to planetary work. Certainly got better results from my old Meade LX200 10" GPS which has a smaller secondary. The folklore says the bigger secondary reduces contrast.  I'm still waiting for a night of excellent seeing to make a definitive conclusion.  The RC is way better (almost perfect) for holding focus, being unfazed by meridian flips, and being parfocal across the filter colors.
