Description

Captured two decent flares, the first at the very beginning of the animation at AR3373 which was a class C1.55 flare and the second near the very end of the animation at AR3372 which was a class M1.79 and really crushed the histogram.  Conditions were poor fighting the smoke from the Canada wildfires.  Typically my Hinode Guider will measure the solar intensity at about -2.3 - -2.5 on a sunny morning but on this morning the smoke was so thick that it was measuring around -4.1.  Pixinsight did a good job of balancing the variations in brightness except for the last 10 frames when the flare reached maximum brightness and I guess through off PI's readings so there is a bit of darkening at the end.  This is 72 minutes in real time.  That last flare only lasted 5 minutes.

Title: Close up of flare at AR3372

Description: Highlighting and slowing down the animation of this flare to see the details of the start of the flare. Increased size by 2X so noisy and lacks resolution but shows the structure of the flare as it evolved.
