Description

I have been enjoying my re-visitation of the "great menagerie" of the central Milky way nebulae; Dragons, Prawns, Lobsters etc at 1600mm focal length.

Nevertheless, I was dreading the Cat's Paw nebula - one that I struggle to process well.  I find it very difficult to pull out what little [OIII] there is, whereas others seem to have less trouble.  Consequently my paw pad (as opposed to the claw pads) looks dull, compared to those who manage a wonderful cyan in the middle of it.

This time was no different, as all I was managed was a hint of insipid sickly green/khaki. To over my inadequacies, I cropped to focus on the claw pads, which so a wonderful range of textures, if not colours.  Having said that the central claw pad has some colour, with the feature here looking rather like some demented bottlenose dolphin.

Ah well... I will be cooling off in the Lagoon soon.
