Description

The Sun in H-alpha on July 20, 2023 featuring a busy Sun with many prominences.

Imaged with a Lunt LS50Tha (with feathertouch focuser and ZWO EAF), Lunt LS50C compact double stack filter, 2x Coronado Barlow, ZWO ASI178MM. Imaging train was configured to give ~F/12. Image capture using Firecapture. Stacking in AutoStakkert3 (best 25% of 1000 frames).    Processed in ImPPG (sharpening).  Prom image generated from surface image using curves adjustment in ImPPG. Combined surface  and prom images using GIMP.  Additional prominence image processing using SolarLiveView.
