Description

HOO (includes Nii signal)
SHO
HSO - best contrast of shells and jets

Imaged Nii and Ha separately at 3nm bandpass each but signal distribution is nearly identical, so ended up integrating both of them together, for a total equivalent of 150 x 10 min subs. So where it says 'Ha' in annotations, it's really Ha+Nii.  Sii distribution is interesting - in some places mirrors others, but then just gets completely cut off in others. HSO combination shows it best.

Normally, it'd be overkill, or perhaps catching the very faint outer halos that many PNs have, but this one it turns out has a faint supernova remnant CTA1 in the background! I didn't know about it until I looked at the integrated masters and saw it.

Quite difficult to boost the supernova remnant filaments without making fine details in the bright nebula core worse, so uploaded wider crop as a separate revision.

Stars are RGB, calibrated with SPCC.

Not many reference images of this PN. Spitzer IR space telescope got the best view of concentric shells and rays in the halo (but poorly resolved nebula core), yet remarkably, you can see them also in this image. SHO has the best contrast but HOO makes them visible too if you look closely.
