Description

LDN 1251 is a low mass molecular cloud in Cepheus about 1000 light years distant.  A couple of notable galaxies include PGC 69472 at the left side (head) and PGC 166755 near the center (tail). The image also contains a carbon star in the lower left that Simbad calls LEE 351.

Imaged over several nights:  Jul 11-12, 15, 17 and 24, 2023.
