Final edit with new data from Bortle 4! Amazing how much better off things are just adding a couple nights of darker sky data. First galaxy RGB image on my new Askar 130PHQ setup after getting everything set up and working. The Ha added in helped bring out some of the finer details in M82, and added some nice details to the arms of M81. Interestingly, there’s a heavy pocket of red southeast of M81 which appears to be some kind of very small emission nebula. In total, it looks like there are around 35 named galaxies in this image, in several more I found looking around that weren’t named (at least not within the PI catalogs for image annotation). Overall I’m satisfied with this image and appreciative to have some imaging time this month compared to how the last few months have been!

Data taken 2/28, 3/4, 3/5, 3/6, 3/13, 3/14, 3/15, 3/19, 3/20
