Description

I have not posted, liked or commented in a while. Everyone knows the 4 seasons in the year - Tax, Summer, Fall and Winter. Yes, its tax season.

It is sometimes fun to see where objects lie in the sky relative to each other. Wide field shots using the FMA135 are good for that kind of thing.

I have to admit, I tried this in SHO but did not really like it. The large nebulosity between the objects ends up a golden brown. To me, Ha should be red, so I stuck with and HOO presentation and omitted all of my SII data altogether.

I also did a 2x2 star mosaic to keep the stars round with the FMA135. It ended up being a LOT of work with the Milky Way in the field, but worth it in the end.

This image represents about 40 hours of work from my skies in Bortle 8. Not just the data acquisition but the processing and revisions and rework afterwards. With the time demands at my office, it makes publishing anything quite difficult!
