Description

Earthshine reflected from the Moon in the Archeological Park of Segesta, in Sicily.

The Ash Light is a phenomenon that affects the moon during the beginning of the first and the end of the last phase, that is when it has a very thin segment of an illuminated disk, as in this case it is easy for the light of the Sun to be reflected by the earth towards the moon, illuminating a portion of the shaded surface.

This beautiful phenomenon occurs when the Moon is in the middle of the Earth and the Sun and, therefore, receives the maximum illumination from our planet, being "Earth full" if we could look from the Moon.

Single shot of 1/3s , f/5.6 , 200 ISO with Canon 60D mod. Full Spectrum and Canon 50mm f/1.8
