Description

While experimenting with my mobile rig, I collected a decent number of M45 frames, which I then could combine with some earlier data resulting in a reasonably deep image of this very well known but nevertheless quite fascinating "classic". Most fascinating is the very complex multi-scale structures caused by the interaction of the winds of the young stars with the dust environment where the Pleiades are currently located in. Every level of stretch reveals interestingly new  structures but making the ones from before somewhat less pronounced. So at some point one needs to decide ...

Data were taken on 20 November 2020 and on 15,23,24 September 2023
