Description

Here we have another StellarVue 90mm/200mm Newton hybrid image.  The iconic M106 galaxy and it's immediate neighborhood.

I had initially done the field work for this with the 90mm and had begun processing this.  I liked the color and certain other aspects of how it was developing but it was missing some pop.  So I thought why not try to augment what I had done with some L data collected with the Newt.  So I collected that and it seemed to be a bit better.  I still was not pleased with the Ha work so I collected some more of that (during a nearly full moon) with the Newt.  That really seemed to make a big difference as I wanted to try to capture the jets if possible.

Of course, I made an alignment error while switching cameras and telescopes to get this done which caused me to have to crop this in a way that I thought was very poor.  But I did like a lot about the image and thought I would finish and post it.

I hope you like this one, clear skies and good health!
