Description

This is a peek at early data for the Pacman Nebula, NGC 281.  The Pacman Nebula is a bright emission nebula in Cassiopeia, about 9200 light years from us.  I needed a target from astronomical dusk until my main targets cleared a tree in my yard, so I collected about a little over an hour on this target over each of four nights in November.  I stacked the data to see what I had, and was surprised to find all the wisps of dust surrounding the nebula.  5 hours is not nearly enough time to do justice to the target or the dust, so I will return to this target when I can and collect a good amount of additional data.

Despite the noise and graininess, I thought this image was interesting enough to share.  Comments and critiques welcome!
