Description

IC63 or The Ghost of Cassiopeia.
Taken from Montréal, Bortle 9
Around 13 hours of exposures in HaRGB

At a distance of 550 light-years from the constellation of Cassiopeia, IC 63 is an amazing and slightly disturbing nebula. It was also called the Cassiopeia Ghost, formed by the emission of the unpredictable variable star neighbor Gamma Cassiopeia. The star slowly destroys a ghostly cloud of dust and gas.
