Description

Messier 3 (NGC 5272) is a globular cluster approximately 33,300 light years away in the constellation of Canes Venatici.  It was first observed by Charles Messier on 3 May 1764.  

Messier 3 was photographed between 2 and 26 May 2022.  Capture details are as follows:

Telescope: Takahashi FSQ 106
Camera: QSI 683
Filters: Astrodon
Mount: 10 Micron GM1000HPS

Red: 50 x 300s
Green: 56 x 300s
Blue: 70 x 300s

A total of 14 hours and 40 minutes exposure.
