Description

This is the first nebula that I've imaged with a new WO Redcat 71. Goofing off for two nights during the early July 2023 supermoon from my Bortle 7-8 backyard. Somewhat surprised that the image came out as well as it did (in large part thanks to a bunch of easy-to-use processing tools and a narrowband filter). Unfortunately, the framing is a bit off, or at least off the standard. The Redcat does have a field rotator, so I consider this result a push towards better framing. Given the light pollution and relatively short imaging time, a crop of just the elephant trunk nebula doesn't show that well.
