Description

Return of astro-dark and clear weather = time to get the big rig dusted off. Full moon = narrow-band.
M16 is never going to get alot of imaging time from my location so adding some more to last years' seemed reasonable. Went with the flattener instead of the reducer I also discovered some very quick LRGB data from July that I'd totally forgotten about!
Anyway managed about 80mins of Ha, Sii and Oiii (1 session each) before my rose bush and shed intervened (not having to drop subs is really helpful when time is so tight).
The broadband star-field was a very quick affair of only about 30mins total using 2x2 RGB for speed (must have been a really bad night!)

Grand total around 9hrs 40m including the 2021 x0.79 SHO data.

Title: PI reprocess in more conventional SHO colour balance

Description: reprocessed from scratch to see how the new WBPP local mormalization would manage with a low altitude target. Spent quite a bit of time to bring out the fainter stuff and not clip the background as well as highlighting some of the wisps of gas. Not that it's noticeable but I used the new SPCC on the stars just because..... I think I'm fairly satisfied with this result and can probably resist reprocessing again unless more data gets added! Only thing missing is drizzling which would need more data at some point.
