Description

Sharpless 101 (Sh2-101) is an Hii emission region  located in the constellation Cygnus.  It is sometimes also called the Tulip Nebula because it appears to resemble the outline of a tulip when imaged photographically. It lies at a distance of about 6,000 light years

Sh2-101, is close  to Cygnus X-1, one of the first suspected black holes. It’s about 3+ hours of L-Extreme data taken during a full moon night (not smart!) and 1 hour of RGB data for the stars blended together for an HaRGB result through a OSC camera. Clear Skies all!
