Description

NGC206 is largest and the brightest star cloud embedded within Andromeda galaxy. Its bright bluish color is from very young, hot and massive stars in the cluster. These massive stars indicate that the cluster is less than 10 million years old. It spans over 4000 light years, much larger than clusters of young stars in our own Milky Way galaxy.

I captured data for this image from my bortle 7 backyard in San Jose, CA for a total integration time of about 50 hours. I used 300s, 180s and 120s exposure times. Solving those stars was challenging.
