Description

Last night, while driving back from photographing the Northern Lights at Lake Ontario, I was driving down a country road and looked out across the fields.  To my eyes, it looked like the sun was shining down through the clouds.  The moon was in the opposite direction; I was shocked at how bright the sky was in light of the fact that I knew the light wasn't coming from the moon.  It was not safe to set up my camera - there was nowhere to pull off of the road.  All I could do was roll down the window and take a picture with my phone.

I cleaned up the noise with PixInsight, and adjusted the histogram a little.  There is zero color saturation enhancement in this picture.

Truly an amazing sight to behold.
