Description

Continuing testing the Player One Mars - C; this time paired with the 9.25 EHD. This is a 30% stack of 2184 frames shot using Raw 8 at 1280x1024, analogue gain 100 exposure at 6ms for 15 seconds with a frame rate of 144 fps. The camera performs very well but it does not like long or lower spec USB 3.0 cables.

The area in shot is very well known as the Apollo 11 Tranquility Base area. I wanted to try this area to see just what the camera/scope combination could achieve whilst the area was partially shadowed at around 50% waxing. Taken from Iluka, Western Australia on 1 November 2022 the Moon was almost directly overhead but the seeing was impacted by high wind and damp air. Overall, the camera continues to impress me with its very high-speed capture capability and performance. It pairs well with Sharpcap and both of my primary scopes, the SW ED150 and the EHD 9.25.
