Description

I love star fields.  Sagittarius was too low with the trees to go after at Mt Pinos this new moon, so I went after the star fields in Scutum around M11 also known as the Wild Duck Cluster.  This is actually a 1.5 panel mosaic...so I could get more of the dark dust to the right.   I was testing how much detail I could get out of this little scope, Bortle 4 with no filter.  I drizzled at 1.3 when integrated in APP.  The jpg from Pix was 116MBs so I reduced the setting, still this one is 46MBs... so sorry for that if you look at full resolution, but go ahead as I am blown away by the resolution.  The crops are from this image and this is my least expensive scope, under $1k.  Oh, but the full frame camera is 4x more 🤑.

The PN is IC1295 with the cluster NGC 6712 nearby.   This is my second PN capture! ...although not deliberate Rüdiger 😂.   -john
