Description

The Jellyfish Nebula [IC 443, Sharpless 2-248] is a supernova remnant around 5,000 light years distant in the constellation of Gemini.  It is believed that the supernova occurred anywhere between 3,000 to 30,000 years ago.  

The Jellyfish was photographed between 11 December 2021 and 10 February 2022.  Capture details are as follows:

Filters: Astrodon
Mount: 10 Micron GM2000HPS

Ha: 34 x 1200s
OIII: 34 x 1200s
SII: 30 x 1200s

A total of 32 hours and 40 minutes exposure.
