Description

When I did the Pacman Nebula in 2017, I never built a SHO image from my data because I wasn't that into the SHO palette back then (nor was I able to process it to make it look not mostly green), so I instead built a HS/OS/O image. I've always liked the color of that image but there were many other aspects about that image that I didn't like, such as the egg-shaped stars and oversharpened areas. The other day, I decided to try combining the data from my recent SHO image and making an image with the luminance + star color from that image and nebula color from my older image and this is the result. I took the plate solve data from the 2017 image, resized and rotated, pasted it on top of the new image, set the layer to color, and masked in what I liked. What do you think?
