Description

Hi Starfriends,

on February 7th, before moonrise, there was another opportunity to catch the green comet (C/2022 E3 (ZTF)).
The comet was high in the sky in the constellation Auriga, between the bright star Capella and Mars. On February 7th, a few high clouds passed and the time window was just under an hour. My result is again a line trace image.

This time it should be quick and dirty, without much effort. The comet was quickly found manually. A try with a smaller focal length, with 135 mm at aperture f/2.8, should be a bit more possible. The high clouds had let the stars puff up a bit. When I had the comet in my sights, I still had to refocus. The nucleus of the comet still had an enormous radiance. I exposed again for about an hour, then the moon got involved.

Thanks for watching and stay healthy
