Description

This is the first time I capture and process data from both the Esprit100/ASI2600MM Pro and the SVX140T/ASI6200MMPro on the same target. A nice "accident" is that those two combinations produce a very similar field of view, so I complemented the SVX140T data with a bit of color data from the Esprit. I think it helped with the SNR and I think I will be doing more of that to optimize data collection.

Processing this image was really tough. Imaging broadband from Bortle 8 is not for the faint of heart, to that I had to add a couple of challenges. The first one is almost 400 luminance full frame subs, stacking that took quite a bit of computer time. The second one one is that, to my surprise, the IFN is starting to show in this data, but it's not bright enough to be usable, so it creates some interesting challenges when processing the background. I could clip it but then the image loses dynamic range. I tried pulling it out but that would not work with such noisy signal. There is a hint of "dirt" in the background, not easy to see, but definitely there
