Description

An image of the interacting galaxies NGC 3718 (Arp 214) and 3729. These galaxies are small, dim and 52 million ly away. Even smaller is Hickson 56 (Arp 322), a galaxy group app. 400million ly away. With hindsight I should have done another object, better suited to my 1000mm Mak-Newton and Bortle 6/7 sky.

Anyway after all these hours imaging and processing, it is not getting better and therefore I share it with you as it is - at least it is not an object that pops up several times a day.

This is cropped to about 50% of the original image.

Bye for now, take care

Volker
