My selected target was NGC6590 but it pairs with NGC6589, both teardrop shaped blue reflection nebulae. Looking at the glow of the gasses being lit by the bright stars, it appears the two are a part of the same gas cloud - which also floats over the bright emission nebula IC 1284. Clumps of cyan/blue can be seen on top of the magenta emission nebula. Nearby, tendrils of dark nebulosity obscure parts of both the reflecting gasses and a nearby star cloud.

This FOV is located just below the Eagle nebula so one of the more accessable southern objects for those of us in the North.

I shot some Ha to see if that would enhance the structures at all. But initial processing seemed as though the red and Ha were very similar. So the Ha data was left out. Otherwise, the processing was pretty straightforward LRGB.

Views by Submitters (available since September 19th, 2023) Every image is assigned to 50% of available Submitters. In the event that at least 80% of them don't view the image before its time in the IOTD/TP process expires, it's assigned to the other 50% of Submitters and the process begins anew.
