Description

...suddenly the sky cleared. There were clouds the whole day. I didn't expect much, but got everything running. In a hurry, I programed a sequence in M35. It wasn't planned. I still have issues with my rig that I have to fix. But theres no time for that, now.

I got about two hours before the clouds were there again. The main subject should be M106, but it is behind a big tree at the moment. So M35 was choosen only to fill the usable time. About 10 minutes before I planned to switch to M106, the session has to be cancelled. Nevertheless, I had enough data to process the image I got.

This is a very nice shot for me. It clearly shows the difference between the young hot blue stars of the open cluster M35 in contrast to the old reddish stars of the globular cluster NGC2158. There are also a lot of stars around this region in the heart of the Milky Way.
