Description

This is a starless version of the Lion Nebula that I imaged in October of 2022.  The structure really becomes apparent when the stars are removed.

The Lion nebula is estimated to be 10,000-12000 light years from Earth.  It has a size of 250 light years.  It is on the border of Constellations of Cepheus and Lacerta.  It is a relatively faint emission nebula.
