Description

not sure how i'm feeling about this. didn't replicate what JdP came up with in terms of the "solidity" of the nebula but i guess it looks cool. maybe owing to trying to bring out the background, horizontal sensor artifacts are visible here and there. perhaps improper color masking led to the gold/red "split" in the dust.

this is from the L3 product as downloaded with the scripts posted here:

https://outerspace.stsci.edu/display/MASTDATA/JWST+AWS+Bulk+Download+Scripts

R  = f335w + f444w
G = f187n + f200w
B = f090w

i think generally this is the "same" as a hubble palette (SHO) image with longer wavelengths in red and shorter ones in blue. the image has a green cast out of this mixture similar to SHO and needs some amount of tweaking to get rid of the green, enhance the green areas as blue, and bring out the gold/yellow in the red areas.
