Description

Horsehead and Flame Nebula!! Located approximately 1500 light years from earth at the end of Orion’s belt. The Horsehead nebula is a dark dust cloud that that’s been blown by stellar wind to give the appearance of a horses head and is illuminated by the red ionized hydrogen gas behind it. The flame nebula is a star-forming region that glows bright due to UV light from Alnitak; a blue supergiant 33 times more massive than our own sun. Alnitak is the easternmost star in Orion’s Belt. The fast optics of my Rasa11 helped me capture this in only 2 hours and 27min, I would of loved to pour more time into it but did not get a chance.. there’s aways next year! 49x180s, #RASA11 #Celestron , #ASI533MCPRO (gain100 at -10c), #IDASNBZUHS, #EQ6RPRO #ASIAIR
