Description

NGC 672 and IC 1727 is an interesting pair of galaxies. They are close and show interaction, as was discovered in 2012 (The tidal bridge was observed in neutral hydrogen radio frequency). NGC 672 was originally discovered by William Hershel, who failed to see the IC 1727, due to the low surface brightness. That one was only discovered photographically by Isaac Roberts in 1896.

The distance to the pair is estimated at 23.5 MLY.
