Description

The clear night was initially planned to further test my transition to OAG. But even after making it into focus i had terrible guiding... never the less I was giving it a try because i wanted to test my new L-Extreme
Therefore, I searched for a bright target to slew to. California nebula wouldn't usually be a suitable pick for 1000mm focal length... but I was willing to give it a try, for the sake of all the hydrogen
Because of the guiding and some wind I eventually lost 3h and 48min of the 8h recording... but in the end i was able to catch some photons. Usually i wouldn't upload a "test image"... but since I am paying for Astrobin... why not?

Please excuse the strange field of view and also the color. I felt like trying something new while assigning the Halpha and O3 to color channels. Otherwise it's just always soooo red.
