Description

What to Photograph with a 10" LX200 Meade 1 day before the full Moon? Omega Centauri. I have modified the LX200 with a Crayford focuser and the EAF from ZWO to work with my ASIAIR Plus. After a friend made a bracket (thanks David) I was able to take advantage of the telescope fully. My first target was Omega.  Clouds were expected and possible rain so I wanted to make it a short shoot session. I shot a total of 240 subs of 30 seconds each as I didn't want to burn out the centre or loose the colour of the stars. I wasn't prepared for the colour of the stars, I expected the image to be almost colourless with a scattering of Yellow the red stars. Not the massive chains of vividly blue stars.
