Description

Wavelet sharpened stack animation showing field rotation during 2-hour Saturn imaging session.

Taken in the early hours of Sat 17 Jun 2023 AEST (3:30-5:30 am Canberra time).  Each stack composed of 1,000 frames - there are 54 in this clip.

Icy moons Rhea and Tethys are swinging behind the planet, the latter moving out of the field of view on the western side.  Saturn reached its peak elevation at 5:02 am (65 degrees).

One of the few nights of good seeing allowing for consistently good results.  Transparency was variable with low cloud around.
