Description

This picture shows the Flaming Star Nebula part of IC 405, an emission and reflection nebula about 1500 lightyears from Earth. The bright star is AE Aurigae, an irregular variable star that lights up the nebula with ultraviolet radiation, causing clouds of  hydrogen gas to glow red as seen in this picture.

This is my first picture with my new William Optics Fluorostar 91.
