Description

The Cone Nebula is an HII region approximately 2,700 light-years distant in the constellation of Monoceros.  The Cone is part of the nebulosity around the Christmas Tree Cluster.  Both the nebula and the cluster are catalogued as NGC 2264.

The Cone was photographed between 19 January and 27 February 2023.
