Only one hour of exposure could reveal this detail of the Pleiades at this extraordinary location on top of the "Edelweißspitze" in the Central Alps in Austria. The place can be reached easily by car and its altitude is 2500 m above sea level providing one of the best sky quality in Mid Europe. Drawback: During daytime the parking area is crowded by cars and motor cycles, but after dawn the tourists leave the place and observers are usually alone...

In parallel I was observing visually with my 18" f/4.5 Dobson having much fun double checking some of the objects I have imaged some months ago.
