Bonjour
Une nouvelle image de la Lune faite le 27 Mai dernier. Cette image représente la région de Monte Apenninus et ne faisait pas partie des images retenues pour le panoramique publiée au mois de Juin .La qualité de la vidéo m'a permis de pouvoir accentuer les détails et les ombres de l'image ce qui n'était pas possible sur la photo publiée. C'est comme je le disais déjà , un grand classique que j'aime refaire d'année en année ..Pour la qualité de l'image je vous laisse juger ..:-)

Les vidéos sont de 180s chacune et faite avec le filtre IR642
Image : Lune de 8 jours
FPS: 80 images/s
Exposure = 12000us
Gain = 50
Nombre d'images totales : ~ 14000 (3% retenues)

A new image of the Moon made on May 27th. This image represents the region of Monte Apenninus and was not part of the images selected for the panoramic published in June. The quality of the video allowed me to be able to accentuate the details and the shadows of the image which does not was not possible on the published photo. It's like I said before, a great classic that I like to redo year after year .. For the quality of the image I let you judge ..:-)

The videos are 180s each and made with the IR642 filter

FPS: 80fps
Exposure = 12000us
Gain = 50
Number of total images: ~ 14000 (3% retained)

Views by Submitters (available since September 19th, 2023) Every image is assigned to 50% of available Submitters. In the event that at least 80% of them don't view the image before its time in the IOTD/TP process expires, it's assigned to the other 50% of Submitters and the process begins anew.
Promotions by Submitters When 3 distinct Submitters promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for Top Pick status. This requirement, in addition to anonymization of images and distribution to only a subset of them, prevents biases and ensures that the best images are selected.
Promotions by Reviewers When 3 distinct Reviewers promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for IOTD status.
Early dismissal Staff members have a lot of images to inspect on a daily basis, and they can dismiss images if they believe they don't meet the requirements for IOTD/TP selection. If an image is dismissed 5 times, it's removed from the process. This streamlines the process and ensures that any bias present in promotions could be overruled by other staff members.
