Description

Though less-compelling visually than many other globulars, I shot NGC 2419 because of its intriguing name.  It was originally thought to be a free-floating globular wandering between galaxies, but now is thought to be orbiting the Milky Way in a more distant orbit than the Magellanic clouds, every THREE BILLION years.  Also it's not a normal globular in that it has heterogenous star composition.

My rendition is weak compared to the stunning Hubble view:  https://science.nasa.gov/missions/hubble/hubble-spies-a-multi-generational-cluster/

I enjoy the mind-wandering idea of this cluster, even if this short shot is fairly average.
