Description

Here is a photo of IC410, also known as the "Tadpole Nebula". This was taken from my backyard located in upstate New York in a bortle class 5 suburban sky over the course of 2 nights (one week apart).  The Hydrogen alpha data was collected near zenith when the moon was roughly 94% full and OK seeing. The sulfur/oxygen data were collected the following week also near zenith when the moon was 44% full in the last quarter stage, the seeing was quite poor. I went with the standard SHO color mapped Hubble Palette with slight reductions to the green in order to remove the magenta stars. Having an Atz-Az mount on a wedge, my exposure times are limited so I went with 60 seconds for all filters. I used the Baader f/2 High Speed 6.5nm 36mm unmounted filter set. If you have any comments, questions, or words of advice, please feel free to share in the comments below. Any feedback will be greatly appreciated as this is my first attempt at narrowband imaging/processing.  Clear skies.
