Description

A mosaic of three widefield stacks.  Each was acquired with  the ASI 2600 camera and the 50 mm camera lens.  Of all my lenses my 18-55mm kit lens that came with my digital Rebel (Cannon) seems to deliver very good star images at this focal length.  So using an Optilong Filter to combat light pollution the nebulas are shown at the expense of the broadband  Milkyway starclouds.  The Antares image suffered from moonlight contamination.  The third image of Sagittarius actually had clouds in part of the live stack.  All three images were done using ASI Air live stack results.  Had to increase dither to 5 pixels to make the live stack work well enough to reduce hot pixels.  Processed in Pixinsight using Star.net so that   the sky background could be treated separately from  the stars. The stars ended up being so small Noel Carbomi's Starspike Pro program was used to make the stars more visible.  This was done in less that optimal conditions with bad light pollution and  thick haze, but the image is still interesting none the less.
