The nights of 11 and 12 September were particularly good (even excellent at few moments) in Paris; especially the night of the 11th as far as my balcony is concerned! 🙂
As the weather has been ugly since then, that leaves some time to process... so here's a small selection of the best images (trying to vary the look of the planet a bit...) from those two nights.
The images of the 11th are on top and those of the 12th on the bottom ; you can see the difference of quality according to the time, the elevation of the planet and the seeing... the best one is probably the one of the 11th at 23h20 UT, with some beautiful details up to both of the poles...
Let's hope there will be some more such beautiful nights until opposition 🙂

Les nuits du 11 et 12 septembre étaient particulièrement bonnes (voire excellentes à certains moments) à Paris ; en particulier la nuit du 11 en ce qui concerne mon balcon !
Comme il fait moche depuis, ça laisse du temps pour traiter... voici donc une petite sélection des meilleurs images (en essayant de varier un peu l'aspect de la planète...) issues de ces deux nuits.
Les images du 11 sont en haut et celles du 12 en bas ; on voit bien la différence de qualité selon l'heure, l'élévation de la planète et le seeing... la meilleure est sans doute celle du 11 à 23h20 UT, avec de beaux détails jusque vers les pôles...
En espérant qu'il y ait encore quelques nuits aussi belles d'ici à l'opposition !

Submitted The date and time when you submitted this image for IOTD/TP consideration.	...
Views by Submitters (available since September 19th, 2023) Every image is assigned to 50% of available Submitters. In the event that at least 80% of them don't view the image before its time in the IOTD/TP process expires, it's assigned to the other 50% of Submitters and the process begins anew.
Promotions by Submitters When 3 distinct Submitters promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for Top Pick status. This requirement, in addition to anonymization of images and distribution to only a subset of them, prevents biases and ensures that the best images are selected.
Promotions by Reviewers When 3 distinct Reviewers promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for IOTD status.
Early dismissal Staff members have a lot of images to inspect on a daily basis, and they can dismiss images if they believe they don't meet the requirements for IOTD/TP selection. If an image is dismissed 5 times, it's removed from the process. This streamlines the process and ensures that any bias present in promotions could be overruled by other staff members.
