Description

Do you see the Whirling Dervish?  So named by Narayan from Australia in 2009.  The Soul Nebula has many interesting "pillars of creation" type formations.   This one is part of the dark dividing between the two Soul Nebula areas.   This is a pure SHO processed image, with 60% of green removed, hence the teal  color, which I find appealing.  Ha is the luminance.  The stars are from a pseudo RGB combination.  I used Adam Block's star "de-emphasis method" in this image and find it superior to the other star reduction methods I've used.  It is labor intensive though.  I've been testing out StarExterminator star removal and star mask tool.  I find it tremendously faster than Starnet++ and leaves very little or no artifacts.  I bit pricy for one function, but a winner.  Again, just a tad of Topaz:  noise reduction at 2 (out of 100), 0 for sharpening, 10 recover original details (to further reduce any sharpening introduced).
