Description

And finally it happened!!! It happens about twice a year to have good seeing at my place, not so frequently but better than never... These conditions allowed me to get good details of this wonderful and highly photographed object.
A wonderful aspect of deep sky astrophotography for me was learning the processing techniques, even if I enjoy the more capturing photons because it deals with the instrument, the collimation, the acclimation of the optics etc... In this phase of learning that never ends, I have had the privilege of receiving advices and teaching from people who produce magnificent works and who did it for the pure spirit of sharing a passion. Marco Lorenzi, Jeffbax Velocicaptor, Bruno Monteleone, Tommaso Massimo Stella come to mind. In this specific case I have to say thank you to Stephane Gonza (Exaxe), who in my opinion produces some the most beautiful amateur images of planetary nebulae that can be seen, for all the suggestions I received to compose this image.
First I made a LRGB with about 12.000 1 sec frames for the luminance to which I added the color obtained from about 8.000 images in H-alpha and as many in OIII (R/Ha - G/40%Ha-60%OIII - B/OIII). Then I added the H-alpha and the OIII channels with the method learned from Marco Lorenzi to compose this L-RGB-Ha-OIII.
I hope you like it. Recommendations on how to improve it are strongly accepted.
