Description

In the top right quadrant Ferrero 6 (aka PN G129.6+03.4 or IPHASX J015624.9+652830) can be seen. It is a smallish and very faint (unless you use a RASA) planetary nebula in Cassiopeia. It was discovered on IPHAS images (INT Photometric Hα Survey of the Northern Galactic Plane) and confirmed spectroscopically in 2011 by Sabin et al. and independently found by amateur astronomer Laurent Ferrero in 2013, hence the name Ferrero 6 (Fe 6). This deep wide field reveals that it is not as alone out there as suggested by other images but is accompaned by faint but extensive Ha emitting nebulosity.

Down to the left the smaller but brighter planetary nebula Sh2-189 (aka PK131+02.1) can be seen. It must be one of the smallest objects in the Sharpless catalogue.
