Description

Shot with my trusty WO102GT with the OSC ASI2600 from Mt Pinos.  I have to admit I love dark nebula, and also everything else in the night skies...hard to pick a favorite target type 🤪.  I do find processing dark nebula challenging, but fun.  The first night I forgot to swap out the Lpro light pollution filter even though in dark skies...oops.

LBN 552 is a molecular nebula in Cepheus. The beacon in it is a reflection nebula.  I'm surprised it didn't plate solve.  To the left is a part of LDN 1228.  ( LBN = Lynd's Bright Nebulae; LDN = Lynd's Dark Nebulae; )
